Indonesian Psychological Healthcare Center earns recognition at Healthcare Asia Awards 2026
The clinic advanced evidence-based psychiatry through research-driven clinical care and the integration of psychiatric services with specialised technology.
Indonesian Psychological Healthcare Center (IndoPsyCare) was honoured as the Specialty Clinic of the Year (Psychiatry) - Indonesia at the Healthcare Asia Awards 2026. This prestigious recognition acknowledges the organisation's strategic transition from a private psychological practice into a highly structured specialty clinic that integrates rigorous research activities with routine psychiatric and psychological care. Over the past two years, IndoPsyCare has reorganised its clinical structure around research-informed treatment protocols, establishing a new benchmark for mental healthcare in the region through formal clinical governance.
In 2024 alone, IndoPsyCare delivered more than 5,000 psychotherapy sessions, with patient activity scaling significantly to over 600 active patients receiving care each month. A high proportion of these cases involved complex psychiatric presentations, including obsessive-compulsive disorder, personality disorders, and trauma-related conditions requiring the level of coordinated, multidisciplinary management that has become a hallmark of the clinic’s approach. This evidence-driven methodology has yielded measurable improvements in treatment outcomes; remission and recovery rates rose from 34.5% in 2024 to 42.8% in 2025. This upward trajectory coincided with the clinic’s uncompromising application of validated therapy protocols and the structured monitoring of treatment progress throughout the entire care process.
Research activity remains fundamentally integrated with this clinical work. Following significant presentations by sixteen clinician-scientists at the World Congress of Asian Psychiatry in 2024, IndoPsyCare maintained sustained academic participation at global forums, including the World Congress of Cognitive and Behavioural Therapies and the International Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Foundation conference. The clinic’s commitment to academic rigour resulted in the production of five peer-reviewed journal articles in 2025, utilising data derived directly from routine clinical practice. This reputation for rigour has further facilitated expansion into corporate healthcare, with IndoPsyCare establishing a strategic partnership as the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) provider for major Indonesian state-owned enterprises (BUMN). By delivering specialised mental health support to large-scale institutional workforces, IndoPsyCare is actively seeking to expand its EAP footprint, providing evidence-based solutions to the nation’s leading organisations.
Institutional developments in 2025 were further defined by regulatory milestones and the acquisition of pioneering diagnostic technology. After obtaining its Klinik Utama (Specialist Clinic) licensure, IndoPsyCare acquired a research-grade 64-channel electroencephalography (EEG) system for mental health applications. The acquisition marked the first unit of this specific system to be utilised within psychiatric services in Indonesia, positioning IndoPsyCare at the forefront of neurophysiological diagnostics in the country. To ensure financial transparency and clinical accountability, the clinic also modernised its operations with procedure-based billing, linking invoices to defined treatment protocols rather than simple consultation duration.
Beyond its clinical and technological growth, IndoPsyCare’s leadership has been instrumental in shaping the national landscape of mental health. IndoPsyCare’s founder and co-founder are currently serving on the board of the Kolegium Psikologi Klinis (Indonesian College of Clinical Psychologists), contributing to the standardisation and advancement of clinical practice at a national level. This commitment to professional governance ensures that IndoPsyCare operates at the vanguard of the industry, bridging the gap between clinical practice and regulatory excellence.
As IndoPsyCare enters its next phase of growth, the organisation remains focused on scaling its impact. Plans are currently underway to increase the headcount of clinician-scientists and further integrate psychopharmacological services into its holistic care model. Looking forward, IndoPsyCare aims to establish a presence in major Indonesian cities and is exploring potential regional expansion into Singapore, further cementing its position as a leading authority in the regional landscape of evidence-based mental healthcare.
