RS Pondok Indah Group secures three honours at Healthcare Asia Awards 2026

The hospital group was honoured for its diagnostic services, hospital care delivery, and technology-driven healthcare initiatives.

RS Pondok Indah Group secured three recognitions at the Healthcare Asia Awards 2026, receiving accolades in the Diagnostics Provider of the Year - Indonesia, Hospital of the Year - Indonesia, and Technology Innovation of the Year - Indonesia categories. The recognition reflects the hospital group’s developments in diagnostics, integrated hospital services, and digital healthcare systems across its facilities in Indonesia.

Improving diagnostic workflows with digital laboratory systems

Diagnostics Provider of the Year - Indonesia recognised developments in laboratory services and medical imaging. Laboratory operations adopted a paperless ordering system integrated with the hospital information system, alongside digital barcoding that records patient data and test requirements. This transition reduced potential laboratory errors during the pre-analytical phase by up to 70%.

The laboratory also introduced a Digital Morphology Analyzer, making RS Pondok Indah Group the first hospital in Indonesia to adopt the system. The technology automatically prepares and digitises blood samples for analysis, allowing specialists to review results remotely whilst increasing the number of analysed cells from 100 to 200 per test.

Additionally, Total Laboratory Automation (TLA) operates continuously to automate centrifugation and route samples to analysers through a robotic track system. The automated workflow optimises chemical use and reduces laboratory waste. Diagnostic imaging capabilities also expanded with AI-assisted systems, including 3 Tesla MRI scanners, CT Scan 512 Slice technology, and advanced breast imaging equipment.

Building a digital hospital ecosystem

Technology Innovation of the Year - Indonesia recognised the hospital group’s digital ecosystem connecting clinical systems, medical devices, and patient services. The Medical Device Integration system links more than 400 medical devices directly to electronic health records, enabling real-time data transmission across hospital departments.

Integration of these systems reduced documentation time in intensive care units by approximately 25% and improved the accuracy of laboratory and imaging records. Imaging results are automatically uploaded to the picture archiving and communication system and connected to electronic health records for direct clinical access.
Patients also access the hospital group’s online appointment platform to book, reschedule, or cancel consultations. Automated reminders and digital access to medical records reduced appointment no-show rates from 12.2% to 7%.

Coordinating multidisciplinary care across hospital services

Hospital of the Year - Indonesia recognised the hospital group’s coordinated model of care covering prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Clinical services span specialities including cardiology, digestive health, orthopaedics, and fertility, supported by minimally invasive procedures that reduce hospital stays and support faster recovery.

Patient services also extend to integrated maternity programmes covering pregnancy, childbirth, and postnatal care. Operational improvements within pharmacy services reduced waiting times and improved patient convenience.

The hospital group adopted fully integrated electronic medical records and clinical systems, achieving HIMSS Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model (EMRAM) Stage 7, the highest global benchmark for hospital digital maturity. The hospital group has made history as the first in Indonesia to achieve the HIMSS EMRAM Stage 7 validation.
