Julius K. Quiambao (JKQ) Medical and Wellness Center, Inc. wins at Healthcare Asia Awards 2026

The organisation was honoured for implementing a provider-led corporate health programme.

Julius K. Quiambao (JKQ) Medical and Wellness Center, Inc. received an accolade in the Corporate Wellness Initiative of the Year - Philippines category at the Healthcare Asia Awards 2026 for its Comprehensive Access to Reliable Employee Health and Wellness Plan (C.A.R.E. Plan). The recognition cited the programme’s structured approach to preventive care, employer partnerships, and coordinated service delivery within its healthcare network.

The C.A.R.E. Plan was introduced in response to recurring gaps in preventive healthcare access in Pangasinan, particularly in Bayambang, where delayed consultations and out-of-pocket expenses often resulted in unmanaged medical conditions and reduced workforce productivity. Corporate partners required a system that allowed employees to consult healthcare providers without immediate cash outlay for covered services. The programme addressed this need through defined benefit structures and direct coordination with employers.

Under the C.A.R.E. Plan, enrolled employees accessed consultations, diagnostics, preventive screenings, and referral services within the centre’s integrated network. The organisation acted as both programme administrator and healthcare provider, allowing centralised oversight of enrolment, utilisation, and follow-up care. This structure reduced fragmented treatment pathways and shortened referral timelines.

Two plan options were implemented. The Basic Plan provided maximum benefit limits of PHP100,000 per year for officers and managers and PHP80,000 per year for rank-and-file employees. The Comprehensive Plan provided PHP250,000 per year for officers and managers and PHP200,000 per year for rank-and-file employees. Covered services included inpatient and outpatient care, annual physical examinations, preventive healthcare benefits, specialist consultations, and defined surgery coverage within benefit limits. Maternity coverage under the Comprehensive Plan included up to PHP40,000 for normal delivery, PHP80,000 for caesarean section, and PHP15,000 for newborn care.

The programme prioritised early consultation and monitored utilisation trends across participating organisations. Employees consulted physicians for common conditions before complications required hospital admission. Coordinated referrals linked primary consultations to appropriate in-network services, allowing continuity of treatment.
