AI-enhanced dynamic diaphragm imaging improves respiratory disease diagnosis with high accuracy and lower radiation.

Shenzhen Lanmage Medical Technology Co.,Ltd. won in the Radiography Product Innovation category in the Healthcare Asia Medtech Awards 2026.

The award recognises the company's AI-driven dynamic diaphragm detection system. This system integrates into its Dynamic DR series. It addresses the limits of traditional static 2D chest X-rays that miss subtle diaphragmatic motion in early COPD or postoperative issues.

Shenzhen Lanmage Medical Technology Co.,Ltd. developed a dual-modality AI algorithm for this purpose. Multi-scale convolutional neural networks detect lung changes at the 0.1mm level with 98.2% sensitivity. A dynamic 3D reconstruction engine quantifies diaphragmatic excursion through 4D imaging. Meanwhile, a pathological segmentation module identifies atelectasis and pneumothorax with 97.5% accuracy in clinical trials.

The system tracks diaphragm motion in 5-second intervals during respiration cycles, flagging abnormal patterns linked to more than 12 respiratory conditions and supporting doctors in making clinical decisions. Through this method, the radiation dose dropped by 40% compared to conventional DR protocols.

A 2024 multicentre study across 37 hospitals showed strong results. The solution cut misdiagnosis rates by 36% in early-stage tuberculosis detection, diagnostic workflows were shortened by 22 minutes per case, and it reached 91% accuracy in differentiating COPD subtypes.

As a leading and professional manufacturer, the company exports to over 80 countries and supports the WHO targets with deployments in 14 African nations under UNICEF partnerships. Their AI training programme has reached 3,200 clinicians in low-resource settings since 2023. The system also costs 30% less than equivalent Western models.
