Construction progresses for WA’s new Women and Babies Hospital
Piling is underway for the hospital and the first of the two multi-deck car parks.
Foundation works have begun on the $1.2b (A$1.8b) new Women and Babies Hospital in Perth, Western Australia, with piling underway for both the 12-storey hospital and the first of the two new multi-deck car parks.
The hospital, located in the Fiona Stanley precinct, will feature inpatient facilities for gynaecology and maternity patients, a neonatology unit, operating theatres, a family birth centre, and outpatient clinics.
Meanwhile, the six-storey western car park will provide approximately 1,500 staff parking bays and include a footbridge on the second level linking to an adjacent car park.
Webuild is delivering the new hospital, which includes an expansion of Osborne Park Hospital to provide additional services for women in Perth’s northern suburbs.
