New hospital planned for Western Australia’s Peel Health Campus

Construction is expected to start in 2026.

A new hospital will be built on the existing Peel Health Campus site in Western Australia, with construction expected to begin in 2026, according to the state government.

The hospital’s ground floor will feature an expanded 39-bay emergency department, a new imaging department, and a mental health emergency centre with a separate public entrance.

Meanwhile, the first level will house a complex of operating theatres, a cancer treatment area, and expanded outpatient services.

Additional facilities will include a dedicated palliative care unit, new inpatient wards, and a High Dependency Unit.

The tender for main works will be released shortly, following detailed design and procurement.
