AC Health partners with Taiwan’s CGMH on proton beam cancer therapy
The treatment will be available to patients of Healthway Cancer Care Hospital.
Philippines’ AC Health have partnered with Taiwan’s Chang Gung Memorial Hospital (CGMH) to provide proton beam therapy to patients of Healthway Cancer Care Hospital (HCCH).
HCCH will refer eligible patients for the treatment at CGMH under agreed protocols, with care coordinators from both hospitals managing logistics and related requirements.
The partners will also establish virtual case conferences and tumour boards to share expertise and discuss complex patient cases.
In addition, they will facilitate clinical rotations and observership opportunities for HCCH physicians at CGMH, with a focus on radiation oncology and proton beam therapy.
Furthermore, HCCH and CGMH will collaborate on a joint research initiative by sharing de-identified clinical outcomes for referred patients.
