Australia invests $77.8m in Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals upgrade
The project focuses on expanding acute inpatient capacity.
The Australian government is investing $77.8m (A$120m) in the upgrade of Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals.
The project will include 60 additional beds across the hospitals to support expanded and contemporary acute inpatient capacity.
Meanwhile, the redevelopment at Blacktown Hospital will feature a mix of fit-for-purpose rooms supporting recovery and expanded clinical and non-clinical support service spaces.
Work will be carried out in stages to minimise disruption to clinical services, which will remain operational throughout the redevelopment.
