Burjeel Hospital opens interventional pain management centre in Dubai

Key services include spinal cord and DRS stimulation.

Burjeel Hospital for Advanced Surgery, Dubai, has launched a dedicated centre for interventional pain management.

The centre provides pain interventions such as spinal cord and dorsal root ganglion stimulation for complex regional pain syndrome and post-surgical pain, and intrathecal pump implants for targeted medication delivery in cancer and chronic cases.

It also offers specialised nerve blocks and image-guided injections for joint, migraine, pelvic, and complex pain management.

The facility is designed to treat conditions such as chronic back and neck pain, sciatica, spinal stenosis, herniated discs, degenerative disc disease, osteoarthritis, failed back surgery syndrome, and vertebral fractures.

Patients also receive care for diabetic or post-injury neuropathy, shingles (PHN), trigeminal neuralgia, migraines, and myofascial pain.
