Prince Court performs first pulse field ablation for irregular heartbeat
The procedure was carried out on a 61-year-old patient.
Malaysia’s Prince Court Medical Centre has performed its first Pulse Field Ablation (PFA) procedure to treat atrial fibrillation.
The procedure was done on a 61-year-old patient who presented with palpitations and shortness of breath.
PFA uses high-precision electrical pulses to selectively target abnormal heart tissue whilst preserving surrounding structures.
The centre said the technique is designed to offer greater precision, fewer complications, and quicker recovery.
