Temporary ambulance site opens in Unanderra, New South Wales

Thirteen paramedics will be based at the temporary site.

A temporary ambulance site has been established at Doyle Avenue, Unanderra, to support NSW Ambulance staff in the Illawarra region, according to the Australian government.

​Thirteen paramedics will work out of the temporary site whilst planning is underway for stations at Unanderra and Warilla, which are expected to be completed in the next two to three years.

The Illawarra Zone has received 66 additional paramedics, as part of the $1.2b (A$1.76b) Strategic Workforce and Infrastructure Team programme.

The new site features a lounge area, offices, locker room facilities, a communications room, and ambulance parking bays.
