Qeight targets errors in hospital inventory systems

The startup is seeking local partners in Taiwan to expand its smart shelf technology.

Japanese medtech startup Qeight Co., Ltd. is eyeing Taiwan as a key expansion market for its smart shelf solution designed to tackle one of healthcare’s most persistent challenges: hospital inventory errors.

As part of the Go Healthy with Taiwan 2025 media campaign visits, Qeight CEO Shogo Uchida shared the company’s focus on automating inventory systems to reduce manual workloads and eliminate costly mistakes in medical settings.

“So the problem we want to solve here is that, because management inventory takes time, and then it can cause human errors,” said Uchida.

In the context of hospitals, such errors can be critical. “If it causes human error, it would be quite a big issue, because in medicine, each item is very important. If they're missing some items, that's a very big problem,”  explained. “So we want to solve that issue by automating the inventory management system.”

Qeight is attending Medical Taiwan 2025 for the first time and is actively seeking domestic collaborators who understand the local market and healthcare system.
