Cipla EMEU, Cipla Limited recognised at Healthcare Asia Pharma Awards 2025

The two companies were honoured for their Ahead & Apart campaign and Breathefree Digital Educator initiative, respectively.

Cipla EMEU and Cipla Limited were each lauded at the Healthcare Asia Pharma Awards 2025, as they respectively earned the ESG Program of the Year - India and Most Differentiated Service of the Year - India accolades.

Ahead & Apart

The Ahead & Apart campaign, a multi-faceted initiative, includes the promotion of sustainable practices within the healthcare ecosystem. The implementation involves three core strategies, namely communication, certification, and sustainable reminders.

First, the initiative educates and empowers healthcare providers. It was able to reach 19,000 healthcare professionals (HCPs) by the end of 2024. It has already engaged 3,000 HCPs and offers recognition to those adopting sustainable practices in their operations.

Furthermore, with a reach of 5,000 HCPs, this aspect of the campaign encourages and reinforces eco-conscious behaviors in everyday healthcare practices.

The campaign was launched in seven countries—Sri Lanka, Nepal, Malaysia, Myanmar, Oman, UAE, and Spain—and has successfully engaged over 27,000 HCPs to encourage the adoption of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices.

With its dedication to its commitment, Cipla has earned several achievements, including the prestigious Zero Waste to Landfill Certification from TÜV India and Intertek Testing Services, and an impressive DJSI ESG Score of 79.

Ultimately, the Ahead & Apart campaign is a bold statement of the company's dedication to a healthier and greener future. This innovative approach strengthens the company’s reputation as a global sustainability leader.

Breathefree Digital Educator

Breathefree Digital Educator is an initiative that enhances respiratory care and addresses the gap between doctors and patients. Despite advancements in the field of respiratory healthcare, improper inhaler usage remains a critical barrier to effective treatment. This platform offers a solution to this by providing personalised and tech-enabled guidance.

When a doctor prescribes an inhaler, the patient can scan a QR code on the packaging, which directs them to the Breathefree Digital Educator platform. After entering their details, they connect with a live agent via video consultation and receive real-time instructions on how to use their inhaler correctly.

With its QR-code-based entry point, the platform offers patients an easily accessible and scalable solution to inhaler education. It also enhances treatment adherence and complements in-clinic instructions by offering an ongoing educational support system. Additionally, the platform tracks patient engagement then gives valuable insights that can refine educational strategies.

Breathefree Digital Educator is a first-of-its-kind solution that addresses a critical yet often overlooked issue in respiratory care, the proper inhaler technique. This project goes beyond digital convenience as it delivers real-world impact—helping patients breathe better, live healthier lives, and maintain control over their respiratory conditions.
