Australia’s SVHM opens new hybrid angiography unit
The new medical imaging system visualise blood vessels in real-time.
Australia’s St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne has introduced a hybrid angiography unit as part of recent upgrades to its Theatre 2.
The new medical imaging system allows clinicians to visualise blood vessels in real-time during surgeries, supporting procedures for conditions such as peripheral artery disease, aneurysms, and vascular malformations.
Meanwhile, the theatre has been redesigned to accommodate the high-tech x-ray machine, enabling a hybrid environment that functions as both a traditional surgical theatre and an interventional suite.
