Camp Siongco Station Hospital wins Military Healthcare Provider of the Year - Philippines at Healthcare Asia Awards 2025
The hospital has significantly improved the survivability, health literacy, morale and well-being of military personnel.
Camp Siongco Station Hospital (CSSH) has been honoured with the Military Healthcare Provider of the Year - Philippines accolade at the Healthcare Asia Awards 2025, in recognition of its efforts to advance military healthcare through innovative medical strategies, cutting-edge training programmes, and facility enhancements that prioritise the health & well-being of service members and their families.
As a Level 1 Primary Health Care Provider accredited by the Department of Health (DOH) and the Ministry of Health (MOH) BARMM, CSSH primarily serves the brave men and women of the 6th Infantry (Kampilan) Division of the Philippine Army, providing critical & timely medical care both on and off the battlefield.
One of CSSH’s most notable contributions to military healthcare is its cascading of the Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) training programme. This initiative, spearheaded by LTC Villamor as a co-author and trainer, introduced the first Philippine-based TCCC course manual.
“Combat medics and even non-medic soldiers are now competently empowered and equipped with critical skills & knowledge to manage life-threatening situations effectively,” the hospital stated.
To provide better comfort and utmost appreciation as well as boost morale and welfare for military personnel, CSSH continuously upgrades its facilities to be more responsive of the health needs of the soldiers and enhance patient care.
A prime example of these upgrades is the Mental Health and Resiliency Center, which puts a premium on the mental wellness of the soldiers. It is also in line with the health thrust of their Commanding General Philippine Army, which provided 15,881 consultations in 2024 alone. Additionally, CSSH expanded its secondary clinical laboratory to deliver efficient diagnostic procedures that contribute to quality healthcare outputs, effectively serving 11,269 personnel in 2024.
“Under the astute leadership of LTC Villamor, a military trauma and critical care surgeon, CSSH has established a formidable reputation for reliable and resilient service within the military healthcare sector,” the hospital stated.
