GAOC sets benchmarks for Philippine dentistry with exceptional quality care

The company won the Medical Tourism Initiative of the Year - Philippines and the Dental Clinic of the Year - Philippines for realising its vision of being a global leader in dentistry.

Nestled in the heart of Makati City in the Philippines, Gan Advanced Osseointegration Centre (GAOC) stands as a premier chain of luxury dental clinics, offering a comprehensive suite of services—from general and paediatric dentistry to the most intricate oral surgeries and restorative treatments.

This feat has been made possible by the efforts of GAOC’s Chairman, CEO, and President, Dr Steve Mark Gan. His vision has propelled Philippine dentistry to global prominence and his commitment to perfection and innovation has positioned GAOC as one of the leaders in oral healthcare in Asia.

Since its establishment in 2001, GAOC has expanded to five clinics located mostly in premium shopping malls in Metro Manila. Now in its 24th year, the centre boasts 52 state-of-the-art treatment and operating rooms across 10 branches in six cities (Makati, Muntinlupa,  Taguig, Mandaluyong, Quezon City, and Cebu City).

GAOC has also become a pioneer in dental tourism under Gan’s leadership, catering to expatriates and foreign patients as early as 2003. His approach has extended to promoting Philippine dentistry globally through various platforms and initiatives.

Beyond redefining dental excellence in the country, GAOC has also introduced cutting-edge technology that enhances precision, efficiency, and comfort. By bringing in the same innovations that have revolutionised global dentistry—microscopes, dental lasers, 3D scanners, and guided implant surgery, to name a few—GAOC ensures Filipinos no longer need to travel abroad for world-class dental care.

It has also established the GAOC Dental Academy in 2023, creating a platform that brings world-class dental education directly to Filipino practitioners. With the academy's presence in Makati, cutting-edge knowledge and training are now more accessible than ever. 13 world-renowned dental expert lecturers have conducted programmes in the Academy attended by almost 500 dentists since it opened in mid-2023.

Almost all GAOC dentists have undergone advanced training and continuing education programmes both locally and internationally in 2024, ensuring their expertise aligns with the company's vision of excellence. This has been made possible with Gan’s strong emphasis on continuous learning and technological advancement.

“From its inception, GAOC has continuously pushed the boundaries of dental practice, setting new benchmarks in the industry,” the company said.

This breakthrough includes the formalisation of an exclusive partnership by GAOC and sister company Novodental, together with the Philippine Department of Health in February 2024. A few months afterwards, GAOC’s clinics secured full accreditation.

Renowned for setting the gold standard in Philippine dental care, GAOC has earned accolades from numerous regional awarding bodies, amongst which is the coveted Healthcare Asia Awards 2025, where it clinched the Dental Clinic of the Year - Philippines for its unrelenting pursuit of excellence in the field, as well as the Medical Tourism Initiative of the Year - Philippines for his success in positioning Philippines as a destination for dental care.

The prestigious awards programme honours exceptional hospitals across the region that have redefined the standards of excellence in the industry through their innovative solutions and substantial contributions to communities.
