New cancer care service opens on Bribie Island
The facility provides low-risk chemotherapy, blood product support, and therapy.
Australia’s Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital has launched a new cancer care service at the Bribie Island Satellite Health Centre.
The six-chair outpatient facility provides low-risk chemotherapy, blood product support, and therapy treatments.
The onsite team includes cancer care nurses, specialist cancer care pharmacists, and support staff.
As a nurse-delivered service, medical staff are not present at the premises.
Patients can access telehealth consultations from home using a smartphone or computer, or via a computer at the facility.
