Here’s what to expect with Australia’s Blue Mountains Hospital upgrade
Planning is also underway for redevelopment.
The Australian government is investing $15.7m to upgrade services and infrastructure at Blue Mountains Hospital in New South Wales.
Key improvements will focus on the hospital’s emergency department, ambulatory care services, inpatient areas, and central sterilising services department.
Additionally, structural enhancements to the building, such as roof repairs, air conditioning upgrades, and improved lift access, are also part of the planned works.
Construction timelines for the remaining projects will be confirmed once planning and design stages are complete and a building contractor is selected.
Meanwhile, planning is underway for a future Blue Mountains Hospital redevelopment.
Community members are encouraged to attend information sessions to learn more about the proposed upgrades and redevelopment plans.
