Dual breast and cervical screening launches on NSW North Coast

The first monthly clinic was held in Port Macquarie.

A pilot programme on the New South Wales North Coast, Australia, enables women to undergo both breast and cervical screenings in a single visit.

Patients booking a routine breast screening with BreastScreen NSW can choose to include a cervical screening appointment during the same visit.

The first monthly clinic was held in Port Macquarie. Meanwhile, plans are in place to extend the service to Coffs Harbour, Lismore, and Tweed Heads.

The initiative is a partnership between the Mid North Coast Local Health District and BreastScreen NSW.
