NUHCS unveils PASCAL TEER procedure for mitral valve disease
The treatment is an alternative to traditional open-heart surgery.
The National University Heart Centre, Singapore (NUHCS) has introduced the PASCAL transcatheter edge-to-edge repair (TEER) procedure for patients with mitral valve disease.
According to NUHCS, the treatment is conducted for severe mitral regurgitation and provides an alternative to traditional open-heart surgery.
Furthermore, the TEER procedure aims to improve recovery time and reduce surgical risks through a minimally invasive approach.
