Australia funds $3.5m for migrant and refugee women's health literacy
The HiML programme delivers education sessions in the participants’ native languages.
The Australian government is investing $3.5m (A$5.4m) to extend the Health in My Language (HiML) programme for migrant and refugee women.
The funding will enable the Multicultural Centre for Women’s Health to continue delivering the program across all states and territories in 2025–2026.
The programme ensures health education sessions are delivered in participants’ native languages, making information more accessible and culturally appropriate.
