Singapore’s NHGP unveils Khatib Polyclinic for preventive care

The polyclinic features a community plaza and health studio to emphasise preventive health.

Singapore’s National Healthcare Group Polyclinics (NHGP) has launched the Khatib Polyclinic to meet the growing healthcare needs of the area’s elderly and the younger population.

Khatib Polyclinic is the group’s ninth polyclinic and offers preventive care, acute primary care, chronic care, and women and child health services.

In addition, the facility has a community plaza and health studio for the area’s residents to participate in activities emphasising preventive health.

Meanwhile, the polyclinic offers dental services with facilities that include digital in-room X-rays to minimise patient transfers and air filtration systems to reduce the risk of infection transmission.

Furthermore, the polyclinic will be leveraging technologies such as telehealth services for preventive and chronic consultations, and self-help blood pressure stations for quicker readings.

“With the opening of Khatib Polyclinic, we now have 26 polyclinics nationwide and are on track to having 32 polyclinics by 2030.” Masagos Zulkifli, Second Minister for Health, said.

“Our polyclinics do not only treat the sick; they are instrumental in the delivery of preventive care. They strive to empower Singaporeans – seniors and the younger population alike – to take charge of their health, and are key in our ongoing efforts under Healthier SG.” Zulkifli added.
