Doctor Anywhere rolls out teleconsultation for suspected COVID-19 cases

The public fees for video consultations is at $7.01.

Singapore-based telehealth firm Doctor Anywhere is launching an online advisory clinic for patients who are suspecting to have COVID-19, according to a press release.

The COVID-19 Medical Advisory Clinic aims to help to identify COVID-19 signs and symptoms and escalate suspected cases for further medical assistance. For individuals in Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, this will be a full suite service.

In Singapore, users can speak to a doctor within five minutes to check the possibility of an infection, in which case they will assist in calling an ambulance to transport the user from home to the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID) in the next hour for a swab test.

Public fees for video consultation via the Doctor Anywhere COVID-19 Medical Advisory Clinic is $7.01 (S$10). This does not include medication that might be prescribed by the doctor.

In Thailand and Vietnam, the local Doctor Anywhere teams will provide assistance to connect the patient to the appropriate healthcare authorities to receive further medical attention.

Users in other countries can also access the service, but can only include video consultation with a doctor to identify symptoms and provide advice on next steps or a memo to obtain medication from a local pharmacy.

Major insurers have also partnered with Doctor Anywhere to offer the COVID-19 Medical Advisory Clinic as a free service to their policyholders.
