SLF Management Systems launches homecare app in the Philippines

It will connect facilities and patients with over 23,000 healthcare practitioners.

Software development firm SLF Management Systems Inc. and Advanced World Solutions launched its Homecare BackApp in the Philippines in a bid to connect healthcare facilities and home-based patients with highly qualified nurses and caregivers, an announcement revealed.

The 24/7 staffing solution app will cater to the approximate 23,800 healthcare workers deployed across the Philippines, of which 17,538 are nurses. According to the announcement, the app was developed by a group of seasoned healthcare practitioners and IT experts in response to the increasing demand for nurses and caregivers in various settings.

“This mobile app … takes the employment and staffing in the healthcare industry to another level,” board of investments director III Angelica Cayas said in a statement. “The BackApp platform, an innovative staffing technology, is a fitting solution to address the increasing demand for healthcare assistance, especially in the Philippines.”

The app also aims to eliminate the need to send sick family members to a hospital or nursing home to sustain the Philippine culture of ‘keeping the family together’.

“This ultimately reduces hospitalisation costs, thus lessening the financial burden on the family,” SLF Management Systems Inc. president and CEO added.
