Young Hospital secures $165,000 funding boost for equipment upgrade

The amount will be used to purchase an endoscopy reprocessing system.

Young Hospital in the Murrumbidgee Local Health District will receive an approximately $165,000(A$250,000) funding boost from the Australian government to upgrade its operating theatre equipment.

The funding will be used to purchase an endoscopy reprocessing system, aimed at supporting improved clinical care for lower-acuity surgeries.

NSW Health Minister Ryan Park said that the $7.9m (A$12m) Rural Minor Works Programme is intended to enhance equipment and improve both staff working conditions and patient care across regional health facilities

In total, the programme will fund 61 projects to strengthen rural and regional health services.
