South Australia unveils first look for new Women’s and Children’s Hospital
It will feature an emergency department with 414 network beds.
A visual preview of the new Women’s and Children’s Hospital in South Australia has been released, offering a first look inside the facility.
The hospital will house an emergency department with 414 network beds and five additional operating theatres. Oncology overnight beds will double from nine to 18.
The facility will also house single-family rooms with purpose-built family spaces to accommodate longer-term stays.
Schematic design for the hospital began in November last year. The phase will define room layouts, equipment, technology, furniture requirements, and technical specifications ahead of construction.
The process is expected to continue until 2027.
