SNUH, SNUBH, BMC launch integrated platform for collaborative research

This allows the use of medical data from approximately 6.85 million people.

Seoul National University Hospital, Seoul National University Bundang Hospital, and SMG-SNU Boramae Medical Center have jointly established an integrated research platform that enables the combined analysis of data from all three institutions.

The platform consolidates the individual common data models (CDMs) previously managed separately by each institution, allowing the use of medical data from approximately 6.85 million people.

In addition, the platform regularly synchronises anonymised databases from the institutions, allowing researchers to query and analyse latest CDM data, such as visit occurrences, diagnoses, procedures, drug exposures, and measurements,

Previously, each hospital operated its CDM independently, limiting access to cross-institutional data and hindering collaborative research efforts.
