SingHealth launches new Family Nexus in Punggol

It is the fourth Family Nexus facility in Singapore, serving as a one-stop community node.

SingHealth has opened the one-stop site Family Nexus@Punggol to offer health and social services for all demographics under one programme.

Located at SHP-Punggol, the Family Nexus@Punggol is a pilot platform co-chaired by the Ministry of Health, Singapore and MSF Singapore to offer social service through a one-stop community node.

Family Nexus@Punggol, under the Integrated Maternal and Child Wellness Hub (IMCWH), will offer development screening and vaccination for children and screening for maternal mental health, emotional health services and lactation support for mothers. It will also offer Families for Life resources, such as parenting programmes, support groups, and educational tools.  

With the opening of the latest Nexus at Punggol Polyclinic, there are currently four Family Nexus sites across Singapore. The others are located in the Our Tampines Hub, Choa Chu Kang Polyclinic and Keat Hong Community Centre, as well as Sembawang Polyclinic@Bukit Canberra.

This Family Nexus is one of the national strategies for Child and Maternal Health and Well-being that provides an array of curated activities, programmes and resources ranging from marriage preparation to parenthood.

The facility is in cooperation with the SingHealth Polyclinics, the SingHealth Regional Health System and key community partners.
