SG’s Sengkang General Hospital unveils photon counting CT for public sector

Sengkang General Hospital's Department of Radiology has deployed the Siemens Healthineers Photon Counting CT, Naeotom Alpha for Singapore’s public health sector.

The new tech reduces radiation and contrast doses whilst maintaining image quality, offering potential benefits in areas such as oncology, neuro, musculoskeletal, and cardiac imaging.

In a statement, the deployment marks the first use of this technology in a public hospital and the third system in Singapore overall.
