Saudi Arabia’s IoT in healthcare market to grow at 8.69% CAGR through 2029

An increasing demand for telemedicine is fuelling the sector.

Saudi Arabia’s Internet of Things (IoT) in healthcare market is expected to reach $639.9m, a compound annual growth rate of 8.69% through 2029, said Research and Markets.

The sector’s expansion is driven by government initiatives and investments in digital health, along with the increasing prevalence of chronic diseases and a growing ageing population.

Moreover, technological advancements in IoT, such as improved data analytics and real-time monitoring capabilities, are enhancing patient outcomes and operational efficiencies.

“The focus on improving healthcare accessibility and reducing costs through innovative technologies is contributing to the market's expansion,” the report said.

Meanwhile, a growing demand for telemedicine is further fuelling the sector, addressing the country’s challenges characterised by its vast geographic area and varied levels of healthcare accessibility.

“Through virtual consultations, patients can connect with healthcare providers without the need for extensive travel, making healthcare more accessible to those living in remote or underserved areas,” it added.
