
NHCS launches nationwide AI project to speed up heart scan analysis
SENSE’s deployment is scheduled for the third quarter of the year.
The National Heart Centre Singapore (NHCS) has introduced ‘Singapore hEart lesioN analySEr’ (SENSE), a nationwide artificial intelligence initiative to assist in the early detection and prediction of coronary artery disease.
SENSE’s deployment is scheduled for the third quarter of the year at the NHCS, National University Hospital, and Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
Moreover, it will be led by the NHCS CardioVascular Systems Imaging and Artificial Intelligence Research Laboratory, in collaboration with the ASTAR Institute for Infocomm Research.
The project is designed to reduce the time taken to analyse cardiac imaging from several hours to a matter of minutes
