New $72.7m Cowra Hospital set to open in NSW, Australia

All existing campus services will begin on 9 December.

The new $72.7m (A$110.2m) Cowra Hospital in New South Wales, Australia, will begin operations on 9 December.

All existing campus services, including emergency, inpatient, maternity, surgical, and oncology, will move into the new building, according to the Australian Government.

Meanwhile, some services, including the hospital’s first CT scanner, new ultrasound services, and an expanded dental clinic, will open in January as part of a staged rollout.

The final project stage will involve demolishing the old hospital, constructing a new carpark, and completing external landscaping, following the facility’s opening.
