Metro North Health appoints Bernard Curran as new board chair
He has been a member of the board since 2018.
Australia’s Metro North Health has appointed Bernard Curran as the new chair of the board of directors (BOD).
He has been a board member since 2018 and has chaired committees focused on finance and performance.
According to Metro North, the new chair will focus on onboarding new board members and reviewing their strategy for the next 12 months.
“On a micro level, there’s a demand and supply imbalance, and we will continue to strive for solutions. This includes supporting Metro North’s research and innovation strategies,” Curran said.
“The macros issues in the healthcare system impact our health service – where can we influence and advocate for reform? We have a very talented group of board members. I’m keen to draw upon their areas of interest and expertise,” Curran added.
Before his appointment, Curan was chair of The Prince Charles Hospital Foundation (The Common Good).
Moreover, he is also part of an architectural organisation board in community, health and education, and the treasurer of Caxton Legal Service.
