Joondalup Health campus to add 60 public beds under $13.2m investment
The hospital’s new ward block currently has 46 beds.
The Australian government will invest $13.2m (A$24m) in the upcoming 2025–26 State Budget to expand capacity at Joondalup Health Campus in Western Australia.
The funding will enable the full fit-out of two shell-and-core floors in the hospital’s new public ward block, adding 60 beds for public patients.
The ward block, which is set to open soon, currently has 46 beds made up of 30 surgical/medical beds and 16 cardiac care unit beds.
Meanwhile, a new operating theatre and two new interventional catheterisation laboratories will open shortly, replacing one existing facility.
In addition, two new shared public/private operating theatres, funded by Ramsay Health Care, are on track for completion in September.
