NUHS app adds emergency wait times, pre-arrival health declarations

The platform also includes a location-based tool to identify nearby clinics.

The National University Health System has rolled out new digital features in its app that provide information on emergency wait times and enable health declarations to be completed before arrival.

Patients heading to the emergency departments (EDs) of National University Hospital, Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, or Alexandra Hospital’s (AH) Urgent Care Centre (UCC) can complete a health declaration form in the app.

The form allows users or their caregivers to input relevant information such as symptoms and recent travel history.

The app also provides real-time information on estimated wait times at the EDs and AH UCC, with wait times refreshed every 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, those uncertain whether symptoms warrant a hospital visit can access the NurseFirst helpline via the platform.

Furthermore, the app includes a location-based tool to identify nearby clinics, including GPFirst and PaedsENGAGE facilities, within a two-kilometre radius.
