Manning Hospital receives $230,400 funding boost for facility upgrades

These upgrades come in addition to the Lower Mid North Coast Health Service Project.

Manning Hospital in New South Wales is set to benefit from a $230,400 (A$355,000) funding boost from the Australian government to expand inpatient capacity and enhance clinical care spaces.

Approximately $68,140 (A$105,000) will be used to convert a non-clinical area into a new three-bed inpatient unit supported by clinical services.

Meanwhile, $162,200 (A$250,000) has been allocated to relocate the chronic care service of the hospital campus and refurbish the Nita Reed building to support rehabilitation services.

These upgrades come in addition to the Lower Mid North Coast Health Service Project, which includes Manning Hospital Redevelopment Stage 2 and planned investments in public health services across Forster-Tuncurry.

Site preparation works for the Stage 2 redevelopment are underway, which will involve the demolition of the administration building and several surrounding facilities.
