Main works contractor named for $128.5m Bathurst Hospital Redevelopment

Main works construction is expected to be completed by 2028.

Icon SI (Aust) Pty Ltd has been appointed as the main works contractor for the $128.5m (A$200m) Bathurst Hospital Redevelopment in New South Wales, according to the Australian government.

The project will house an expanded emergency department, enhanced maternity services with a special care nursery, and upgraded inpatient, outpatient, and community health services.

It will also include additional operating theatres, expanded cardiology services, and a new paediatrics zone.

The hospital design has been informed by feedback and consultation with health professionals, staff, patients and Aboriginal community representatives.

Main works construction is expected to be completed by 2028.
