The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has formed a strategic partnership with Blockchain for Impact (BFI) for more affordable healthcare.
The BFI will invest $900,000 in IIT Bombay to leverage the organisation’s skills in developing technologies aimed at making India’s healthcare more affordable and accessible, GlobalData said, citing a report from ETHealthWorld.

“By joining forces with Blockchain for Impact, we aim to accelerate the development and deployment of healthcare innovations that have the potential to transform public health outcomes in India and beyond.” IIT Bombay director, Subhasis Chaudhuri, said.
The partnership is part of a $15m BFI-Biome initiative focused on addressing urgent health challenges and advancing research and innovation related to the biomedical sector.
