Hong Kong’s public accident and emergency (A&E) departments will raise their fee to $51.5 (HK$400) per visit starting 1 January 2026.

Currently, the departments charge a rate of $23.2 (HK$180).

Meanwhile, treatment for critical and emergency cases will be free of charge at public A&E departments.
