Gold Coast Health unveils digital messaging platform for rheumatology

Patients can message the Rheumatology service through the ‘Patient Connect’ platform.

Australia’s Gold Coast Health has launched a new digital messaging platform for rheumatology patients, allowing direct communication with the Rheumatology services team.

The platform, powered by Foxo software, allows patients to send non-life-threatening queries outside of scheduled appointments.

Patients can message the Rheumatology service at any time through Foxo’s ‘Patient Connect’ platform by using an access card with a QR code or a link via SMS.

Further applications of the platform are in development for Renal Services, Cancer Services, and Child Health Services.

The launch of the Rheumatology service marks the second use of the Patient Connect platform at Gold Coast Health, following its initial implementation for the General Medicine Rapid Access Service.
