Contractor appointed for $12.8m Mullewa Community Hospital upgrade

Main works are expected to start later this year.

The Australian government has awarded the contract to deliver the $12.8m (A$19.6m) Mullewa Community Hospital redevelopment to Western Australia-owned and operated EMCO Building.

The new hospital will feature purpose-built facilities to support 24/7 emergency care, respite and palliation, outpatient treatment, and community health programmes.

In addition, treatment spaces will be equipped with virtual healthcare technology.

Main works are expected to start later this year.
