Cessnock Hospital redevelopment moves forward public exhibition plans
Main works construction is expected to begin in mid-year.
The Australian government has invited the community to provide feedback on the Cessnock Hospital redevelopment planning documents, with the Review of Environmental Factors (REF) set to be on exhibition.
The REF and related documents will be accessible on the Health Infrastructure website from 9:00 am on 20 January. Feedback can be provided until midnight on 17 February.
Main works construction is expected to begin in mid-year, following planning approval and the appointment of a building contractor.
The redevelopment will feature an expanded emergency department, two inpatient wards with single and ‘two-bed’ rooms, a new medical imaging service, and day surgery spaces.
