Australia’s “Health in My Language” expands to sexual, reproductive health
The new phase will address issues such as menopause, contraception, and pregnancy options.
The Australian government’s ‘Health in My Language’ programme is launching a new phase that will concentrate on sexual and reproductive health for migrant and refugee communities.
This new phase is funded with an additional $3.7m (A$5.6m) to expand the programme by recruiting, training, and coordinating bicultural women’s health educators.
Education sessions are expected to commence in November, following the completion of training for health educators.
The phase will address women’s sexual and reproductive health issues, including menopause, safer sex practices, contraception, and pregnancy options.
This initiative is delivered by the Multicultural Centre for Women’s Health in collaboration with seven other organisations.
