Thanks to the adoption of advanced diagnostic tools.
Australia’s gastroscopes market is projected to expand at a compound annual growth rate of 7% through 2033, driven by the adoption of advanced diagnostic tools, said GlobalData.
The integration of AI into these devices has enhanced diagnostic accuracy and enabled real-time decision-making for malformations, said Aditi Dakshesh Parikh, Medical Devices Analyst at GlobalData.
“This advancement provides a non-invasive solution that improves early detection, accelerates treatment, and ultimately boosts patient outcomes,” the analyst said.
A notable development in the sector includes a partnership between Monash University and Optiscan Imaging Ltd to develop AI-powered gastrointestinal endoscopes aimed at detecting and analysing abnormal cells.
Moreover, the university has partnered with Apollo Hospitals in India to share technology and data, advancing healthcare innovation.
“By combining technology, such as AI-powered endoscopes, with collaborative healthcare initiatives, these partnerships are poised to improve accuracy and efficiency,” Parikh added.
