Australia’s Eastern Health unveils First Nations clinic for cancer

The Nangnak Warr Bagora Clinic will provide medical oncology services to Aboriginal Victorians.

Eastern Health launched a dedicated cancer clinic at the Healesville Hospital for the Aboriginal population in Victoria.

The Nangnak Warr Bagora clinic will provide medical oncology services with oncologists specialising in the treatment of the most common types of cancer for First Nations Australians, including lung, prostate, breast, and bowel cancers.

Moreover, the facility includes social workers and an Aboriginal liaison officer to ensure the community’s gap in cancer outcomes is addressed.
