Asan Medical Center develops AI for real-time conference translation
The system is trained to recognise domain-specific terms in medicine and law.
Researchers at Asan Medical Center have developed an artificial intelligence interpretation programme for real-time use at international conferences.
The system analyses spoken data and provides translations in real time, displaying complete sentences on screen within one to three seconds.
Moreover, it is trained on domain-specific terminology in fields such as medicine and law.
In line with this, the team has filed technology patents covering a multilingual translation system, a device for processing real-time speech recognition and translation data, and domain-specific translation systems that use multimodal information.
