Australian gov’t to rollout connected EMR system in Victoria
A $14M (A$21.4m) investment will support four health services in the transition.
The Australian government in Victoria has announced that the rollout of a connected electronic medical record (EMR) system across the state’s hospitals is underway.
A $14M (A$21.4m) investment will enable four additional health services to transition to electronic systems.
The services included in the planning and implementation of EMRs are The Royal Eye and Ear Hospital, Eastern Health, the Hume Rural Health Alliance, and the Grampians Rural Health Alliance.
Currently, the state comprises 76 health services that rely on various patient record systems, some of which remain paper-based.
