Australian gov’t appoints contractor for Hedland MRI suite
The suite will include rooms for scanning, control, and anaesthetic preparation.
The government has engaged ADCO Constructions through an early contractor involvement (ECI) procurement process for the development of a $9.3m (A$15m) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) suite at Hedland Health Campus.
This ECI will allow the contractor to collaborate with project teams during the design phase for a more efficient construction process.
The suite will be a standalone facility, positioned adjacent to the existing diagnostic services provided by the Hedland Health Campus Medical Imaging Department.
It is expected to accommodate specialised equipment and will include an MRI scanning room, a control room, an anaesthetic preparation room, plant and equipment spaces, and support facilities.
The facility will also feature reception and sub-wait areas, along with changerooms and amenities.
