Australia invests $17.4m in new Nurses and Midwives Academy

The facility will be located in Melbourne’s Epworth Hospital.

The Australian government is investing $17.4m (A$28m) to establish a new Nurses and Midwives Academy at Epworth Hospital in Melbourne.

The funding will support the construction of a multi-storey facility under the Epworth Medical Foundation’s Brookes Academy to provide education pathways for nurses and midwives at all career stages, including specialised training.

The facility will feature a blended learning simulation suite to create an immersive training environment.
