Australia to establish Inner South Health Centre in Griffith
It is one of the five new centres focused on treating complex and chronic health conditions across the ACT.
Australia is set to unveil a new health centre in Griffith to provide easier service access to the Inner South community.
The Inner South Health Centre will be located near the corner of Throsby Crescent and Throsby Lane, according to an announcement by the government.
The upcoming facility is one of the five new centres dedicated to treating complex and chronic health conditions across the Australian Capital Territory (ACT).
The centres are designed to complement Canberra’s existing network of nurse-led walk-in centres, community health facilities, and the ACT public hospital system.
“Investing in person-centred nursing, allied health, and specialist care that is better integrated with general practice will keep Canberrans healthier, taking pressure off our acute hospital system,” Minister for Health, Rachel Stephen-Smith, said.
